Welcome to the world of metal fabrication

Overview

Rise in infrastructure development and automotive production are driving growth in the metal processing and manufacturing sectors in India. The country also has a fair advantage in cost of production and labour. Under this rapidly expanding manufacturing sector in India, there is an increasing demand for skilled professionals.

Faculty of Welding & Sheet Metal Skills Education in Bhartiya Skill Development University will offer a range of skilled courses pertaining to fabrication and processing of metal parts for component manufacturing integrated with the science and technology. The graduates will be trained to the highest level of quality standards under this professional industrial education under supervision of Swiss Trainers.

The course is in compliance with the Swiss Dual System Apprenticeship Education and Training. The Faculty offers students a comprehensive training in different metal processing domains which include sheet metal fabrication together with different high end joining and welding techniques. The students will also be introduced to metal forming processes such as rolling, bending, forging, deep drawing etc. The core element of the training is on fabrication and welding various grades of steel and aluminum alloys for different structural constructions.

The faculty believes that there is also a need for academics and research in the field of metal construction and fabrication to develop pragmatic solutions that are accessible to our industrial partners to address critical fabrication problems. The faculty is presently offering B. Voc program but will gradually start with Master's degree in Welding and Sheet Metal Skills. With an apprenticeship cum degree program, one can start laying the foundation for his/her future.

Objective

The programs under the Faculty of Welding & Sheet Metal Skills Education are designed to:

  • Prepare students for various aspects of metal construction, including quality control, sheet metal working, welding, and material selection, so that they can be employed in heavy and light industries, as well as in repair and maintenance.
  • Meet certification test standards conducted by the Indian Institute of Welding (IIW) and officials from the American Welding Society (AWS).
  • Make sure that students can also start their own businesses and start-ups.

Welcome to the Faculty of Welding & Sheet Metal Skills Education at BSDU Jaipur. We started our journey in the year 2017 and made remarkable achievements during this journey. Welding Skills plays a significant role in enhancing safety, economic vitality, enjoyment and overall quality of life throughout the world. A prerequisite for development is growth and that is directly related to production or output of a country.

Our vision is to be recognized as an innovative and leading Welding Skills Faculty in India and beyond. Our goal is to provide students with a balance of intellectual and practical experiences that enable them to serve a variety of industrial needs. The department offers B.Voc.in Welding and Sheet Metal Skills. We produce graduates to become future leaders for industry, academia, government and society in the whole world, whose vision is founded upon fundamental knowledge, creative, analytical and practical skills and ethics.
