Training & Placement Overview

The Training and Placement Cell is an integral part of Bhartiya Skill Development University (BSDU). BSDU provides a platform to facilitate interactions between the students and the recruiters to match the aspirations of the students and the requirements of the recruiters. Our students are the product of a well-planned and thought-out rigorous training programme both on theoretical & practical aspects and sustained hard work to make them industry ready. In addition to enhancing the professional knowledge and skills of the students, the University also organises and conducts a large number of activities/programmes to enable the students excel in their chosen areas of work/fields.

Training & Placement (T&P) activities are organized throughout the year with a view to prepare the prospective learners for the campus selection programs. The reputed industries across the country visit this university regularly for campus recruitment programs for internships & placements during the summer as well as the winter semesters. The T&P Cell maintains good rapport with all industries for their effective and iterative recruitment process. The goal of the T&P Cell is to provide students with the right platform for using their skills and potential to gain valuable experience by working in industry and climb the ladder to success.

In order to enhance the employability quotient of the students as demanded by the industry, the T&P Cell provides the much needed training to the students to hone their employability skills. These training programs give the students tips on how to crack aptitude test, group discussion, interview skills and resume preparation. The cell also educates the students with career opportunities in different areas like the private sector, public sector, digital marketing and the whole prevailing skill ecosystem.

Objectives

• To prepare and train students for the internship and placement drives by providing them exhaustive training with relevance to Mock GD’s, Presentations on technical/general topics, Communication Skills, Aptitude test and overall development for personal & professional grooming required in Industry.

• To arrange guest lectures of industrial experts for reskilling and upskilling of the students with hands on experience in the wake of ever changing dimensions of professionalism.

• To arrange guest lecture of Alumni who are placed in reputed industries to educate empower and enlighten the aspiring students with the latest trends of the industries.

• To arrange guest lectures on soft skills, experiential learning and entrepreneurship.

• To arrange Sessions for students with regard to opportunities in Higher education.

• To create awareness about the different opportunities available in various fields in industry such as Information Technology (IT), Information Technology Enabled Services, Manufacturing skills, Woodworking skills, Electrical Skills, Marketing, Automation etc.

• To make concerted and consistent efforts to enhance employability through the Recruitment drives for internships as well as the final placements.
