School of Electrical Skills (SES), Bharitya Skill Development University (BSDU) Jaipur, has been established with a mission to impart quality education along with extensive hands-on training in electrical laboratories and industries. The School has well-equipped laboratories, well-stocked library and qualified and experienced faculty and trainers to realise the stated mission. At present school offers two under graduate programs of three years duration i.e. B. Voc in Electrical skills and Renewable Energy Technology (RET) skills. The school also has options of multiple entry and exits to complete a Certificate Course (after six months of training), Diploma (after one year of training), and Advance Diploma (after two years of training). SES also offers M.Voc. in Smart Power System and PhD in the areas of power systems, renewable energy technology and smart grid technology.

School of Electrical Skills provides theoretical and practical trainings to the students to enhance their understanding and skills. This is being achieved by having highly qualified faculty, state of the art infrastructure and laying greater stress on On the Job Training in labs such that one student works independently on one machine for gaining the requisite experience, confidence and understanding. The various labs/workshops in the School include Smart Power Systems Lab, Renewable Energy Technology Lab, Automation Lab, House Wiring Lab and Electrical. These laboratories are well-equipped with the state-of-the-art machines, Instruments, and training kits. The school offers a vibrant environment for the students to get trained with expertise and complete know-how, based on the Swiss Dual System of training. Availability of vertically specialized Swiss Trainers further help the students to become experts and gain deeper understanding of their trades. The students in the school also get an opportunity to further develop their sporting skills as the university has excellent sporting facilities. In the changing world scenario with regard to the job market, there is an overpowering need for skilled workforce as about 90% of employment opportunities require vocational skills. Persons with electrical skills are expected to undertake a wide variety of jobs/tasks from installation of wiring in residential, industrial and commercial installations, installation , setting to work, testing & trials and repairs of various electrical machineries like transformers, motors, generators, undertake works related with automation and control of various machineries and control systems, undertake all activities in the solar field from calculation of the load of a given installation to finalising the requirement of solar panels, preparing of cost estimates, installation and commissioning. In addition, the trained personnel are also expected to perform all repair, maintenance, monitoring, control, diagnostics and restoration of smart power system. This calls for a comprehensive training in all these areas in addition to their knowledge of general education subjects and overall personality development. The training and education of the students in the School of Electrical Skills takes care to develop all the requisite skills by imparting them theoretical training in various technical and general education subjects and extensive hand on training in various state of the art labs in the School and during internships in relevant industries in the alternate semesters. - Electrical house wiring lab for covering all aspects of wiring related works in residential, industrial and commercial premises.
- Electrical lab for covering all aspects of repair, maintenance, testing and trials of various types of electrical machineries.
- Automation and Control Lab for covering all aspects related with SCADA, PLC programming and HMI design.
- Renewable Energy Technology Skills lab for covering all aspects of solar technology from installation, commissioning, testing and trials of solar panels and their integration with the Grid.
- Smart Power System Lab for covering all aspects of Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution and all associated controls for monitoring and control including interface with the power Grids.
