How Internship experience that we offer is strategic in career development?

The whole training is based on Swiss Dual System consisting of “On the job Training” and “Vocational School” which has been adopted after carrying out due modifications to suit the Indian industry. In contrast to Swiss Model which is for three to four years, the BSDU model is for a three-years degree course, each year comprising two semesters, with I, III & V semester with BSDU and II, IV & VI semester with the industry.

School of Automotive Skills have MoU’s with industry leaders like Hero MotoCorp., AXALTA coating systems, KTL Pvt. Ltd., Pink City Honda and many more, which helps us to offer internships as per industrial norms to our students. By the time our students complete their B.Voc. they already have on the job training experience of 1.5 years and it’s most likely that a job offer is being offered by the respective industry in which they undergo their internships.

The automotive sector is the one of the sector that considerably reduces the employment challenges of the country, which boasts over 50 percent of its population being below the age of 25, and all set to become the youngest nation on the planet by 2020, with an average age of 29 compared to China’s 37, there is, however, the huge concern of skill gap. Even though there are certified people aplenty, their employability in the industry remains a big question mark, which is the most challenging aspect for the sector and the government to solve. To overcome this issue BSDU has taken an initiative under the abled guidance of Late Shri Rajendra Joshi and trains the young generation extensively with the available facility at School of Automotive Skills, readying them and making them competent to be employed in major automotive companies, thus empowering them with a better future.
