Faculty of Woodworking Skills at Bhartiya Skill Development University (BSDU), has been set up with an aim to foster creativity with innovation here students can combine traditional techniques with modern design ideas, fostering innovation within the craft.

In these schools, students’ gain foundational knowledge about different types of wood, how to work with them, and the art of joinery techniques like dovetails and mortise-and-Tenon joints. Additionally, you’ll learn about finishing techniques—sanding, staining, and varnishing—that bring your projects to life.
The Faculty of Woodworking skills has a setup of high end equipment, tools, machinery from global manufactures like Festool, SCM, Felder, Woodtech. Here students get trained from the highly skilled trainers over these machineries from basic to advance level so that each and every student can use these machines efficiently to create the desired product.

- Chosen as a Centre for India Skills Competition 2024 – Regional level West zone because of our top-notch machinery and extraordinary facilities.
- One of the alumni Vikash Kumar Naga became the winner at India Skills Competition 2018 in Joinery Trade and won the Gold medal and represented the India in World Skill Competition in Kazan Russia in 2019.
- One of the alumni Jai Kishan Suthar became the winner at India Skills Competition 2021 in Joinery Trade and won the Gold medal and represented the India in World Skills Competition in Switzerland 2022.
- One of our alumni Kamlesh Bagra clinched the bronze medal in Joinery Trade in India Skills Competitions 2018 and Mohit Kalal clinched the bronze medal in Cabinet Making Trade in India Skills Competitions 2018.
