Robotics Lab Inaugurated at BSDU Campus

‘BSDU is happy to share that the newly constructed Robotics Lab in the School of Computing Skills was inaugurated by the President Dr. SS Pabla today. Six industrial robots have been installed and commissioned in the lab. Three are from ABB Germany and the other three are indigenous ones from Tata Motors Ltd. (TML), Pune. The total cost of the robots is around ₹1.5 crore.
The ABB robots consist of a welding cell, a pick n place cell and a vision cell. The TML robots consist of a vision cell, a voice recognition cell and a gesture based cell. Preliminary training has been conducted and the robots are now ready for students and faculty to train on and run various applications on them’.
