B.Voc. in Hospitality and Tourism Skills
The B.Voc program is modular in nature with multiple exit points at Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma and B.Voc. Each of the six semesters carries 30 credits, resulting in a total of 180 credits for B.Voc.
10+2 or two years ITI after 10th will be considered as equivalent to 10+2 or and Polytechnic Diploma (Lateral Entry admission in II year of B.Voc)
Admission will be through an Entrance Exam or based on the merit of the qualifying examination.
Tourism and Hospitality Industries tackle the skilling of large manpower to fulfil the industry requirement and play a crucial role in bridging the gap between demand and supply of skilled manpower.
B.Voc Program in Hospitality and Tourism will equip the students to be adaptable, resourceful and knowledgeable in core business areas, and will specialize them in some areas selected by them for global employment. They will gain an understanding of the interaction of all tourism sectors and the variety of work experience potential and entrepreneurial opportunities found in the tourism industry.
Infrastructure and Labs
The infrastructure in the department of Hospitality and tourism is well equipped and planned. We have all the required equipment as per the hotel operations. The student is practically worked on these machines which they can use in the hotels. The Hotel Operation is broadly divided in four Parts:
- Food and Beverage Services:
Demo Service lab equipped with all the equipment used the hotel restaurant operation. The student takes their service practical regularly. This place is also managed by Hospitality student.
- Food and Beverage Production:
To learn about different cuisine around the world the department is having demo Kitchen with all equipment like rational combi (Automatic/Manual).The student also learn about all the standard operating procedure from swiss trainer from Switzerland.
The room which completes the Hotel gives comforts to guest and many more. The Demo Housekeeping lab train the student about all necessary learning required for Jobs in the Housekeeping. The Housekeeping covers cleaning, maintaining of room, Guest complaint handling, Guest request etc.
- Front Office
The Demo front Office lab is the main face of any organization. It give the learning of handling guest with greet. It plays an important role in the guest interaction. The students learn about Hotel booking, registration etc.
