General Introduction

Ankur is a faculty member with the School of Automotive Skills at the Bhartiya Skill Development University, Jaipur. He was awarded his doctoral degree from University Technology Petronas, Malaysia in the field of Mechanical Engineering. Prior to joining BSDU, he was associated as a faculty member in Department of Mechanical engineering at different universities namely Amity University Noida, Manav Rachna International University Faridabad & Mangalayatan University Aligarh.


His area of specialization is focused on solid state conversion of thermal energy to electricity for electric and hybrid vehicle technologies. His research portfolio over the past 8 years has been focused on implementation of reverse engineering & rapid prototyping in mechanical systems and its end applications in biomedical systems. His expertise lies primarily in the use of 3 D laser scanning devices for data acquisition in reverse engineering. He is looking forward to set up a research group of motivated research students who are interested in studying and working on direct conversion methods of waste heat to electricity specifically for Electric Vehicles (EV) and Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) using state of the art experimental and simulation tools.
